What to do in Harrogate after your design consultation

After visiting our Harrogate interior design studio for a design consultation, you may find yourself with some time to explore our beautiful hometown.

What to do in Harrogate after your design consultation

Known for elegant architecture, scenic landscapes, and rich history, Harrogate and the surrounding areas offer a range of activities to enjoy.

We have put together a list of favourite places in Harrogate which the Studio Nest team can highly recommend as great places to take a few moments to process all of the ideas and suggestions that will come up during your bespoke interior design consultation!

Within walking distance from our Harrogate interior design studio:

Westmoreland Coffee Lounge - Just around the corner from our design studio, we love to snag a booth for a cosy private chat. Great coffee and blueberry muffins! @westmoreland.harrogate

Gingko - Independent neighbourhood eatery - Brunch, lunch and sometimes dinner. Walk ins only, and worth any wait! @ginkgoharrogate

Valley Gardens - Gorgeous gardens, outdoor games, play park and paddling pool. Walk the length of the gardens up to the Pine Woods, then meander back into town via the independent shops and cafes along Cold Bath Road @visitharrogate

AGA & La Cornue - If you are considering a luxe range cooker for your new kitchen, visit the UK's first joint Aga & La Cornue showroom to view the latest models from both brands in one place @aga_cookers @lacornue_uk

Pizza Social - Sourdough pizzeria - a casual place to get a great pizza. @pizza_social

Imagined Things - An independent book shop, highly recommended by Rosie, our resident book worm. @imaginedthingsbookshop

Stuzzi - Purveyors of fine Italian stuff - authentic Italian small plates, perfect for sharing over an Aperol Spritz! @stuzziharrogate

Betty's Tea Room and Shop - A list of things to do in Harrogate wouldn't be complete without Betty's being on it. Don't let the long queues for the cafe put  you off, you can pop into the shop and take some beautiful treats home with you! @bettys

Just out of town, hidden gems:

Weetons - Family owned, the food hall is full of artisan produce and the bar and kitchen is another favourite for our team get togethers. Their garden centre is ideal place to pick up gifts and plants! @weetonshomeandgarden

RHS Harlow Carr - A beautiful place to take a walk through seasonal gardens, Alpine houses, woodland and wildflower meadows. Stop for a hot drink and a treat at Betty's tea house tucked away in the gardens, or you can visit Betty's cafe, shop or Harlow Carr garden centre without paying for entry in to the gardens! @rhsharlowcarr

Fodder Farm Shop and Cafe - The farm shop cafe and old school Airstream van is a favourite for Studio Nest team meetings, and their farm shop is full of local produce and gift ideas! @fodder_harrogate

Roosters Brewing Co - A local brewery tucked away on Hornbeam Park, the taproom features a selection of their beers all brewed on site, art exhibits and a rotation of street food traders from the taproom kitchen. @roosterstaproom

A little further out of town, well worth the trip:

National Trust Brimham Rocks - A family friendly destination around 10 miles out of town, explore dramatic moorland and rock formation, enjoy views across Yorkshire and Nidderdale and enjoy a light refreshment from the kiosk @ntbrimhamrocks

Rudding Park - Book into Rudding Park spa for a relaxing and indulgent experience or visit one of their bars and restaurants to enjoy a bite to eat after taking a stroll around the sprawling grounds. @ruddingparkhotel
